About The Position

Hughes Exterminators is hiring a full-time Pest Control Technician to provide residential and commercial pest control services using an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach. The position is paid hourly and includes a company vehicle. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The technician follows prescribed treatment plans for wood-destroying organisms, prepares treatment areas, and applies termite treatments to buildings and structures. The role also involves helping customers understand personalized solutions, collecting service payments, and maintaining equipment and the company vehicle in proper operating condition.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass and maintain any state regulatory agency-required licensing or certification exams.
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
No experience is necessary; training is provided.

Responsibilities

Provide pest control services to residential or commercial customers using an Integrated Pest Management approach.
Determine prescribed treatments using inspection graphs and specification sheets.
Prepare treatment areas by removing and hauling away debris as prescribed.
Install termite bait stations using an auger and digging tools.
Trench around structures and apply liquid treatments to exterior or crawl-space perimeters.
Drill and apply liquid treatments to void spaces or blocks in crawl spaces and structures.
Spray products on affected areas.
Describe personalized treatment solutions and answer customer questions.
Collect service payments from customers.
Maintain equipment and the company vehicle in proper operating condition.
