About The Position

Hughes Exterminators is hiring a full-time Pest Control Technician - Termite to provide residential and commercial customers with service using an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach. The position is paid hourly and includes a company vehicle. No experience is necessary; training is provided to the right person. The technician determines prescribed treatments using inspection graphs and specification sheets, prepares treatment areas by removing and hauling away debris, and applies wood-destroying organism treatments to buildings and structures. Treatments may include installing termite bait stations, trenching and applying liquid treatments around structures, drilling and treating void spaces or blocks, and spraying affected areas. The technician also explains personalized solutions to customers, collects service payments, answers questions, and maintains equipment and the company vehicle in proper operating condition.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass and maintain any state regulatory agency-required licensing or certification exams.
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
No prior experience is necessary; training is provided.

Responsibilities

Determine prescribed treatments based on inspection graphs and specification sheets.
Prepare treatment areas by removing and hauling off debris as prescribed.
Install termite bait stations using augers and digging tools.
Trench and apply liquid treatments to exterior or crawl-space perimeters of structures.
Drill and apply liquid treatments to void spaces or blocks in crawl spaces and structures.
Apply spray treatments to affected areas.
Describe personalized treatment solutions and answer customer questions.
Collect service payments from customers.
Maintain equipment and the company vehicle in proper operating condition.
