About The Position

Saint Clare's Health, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a PES Screener to provide mental health screening assessments, interventions, and referrals. The role delivers mental health treatment services including mobile outreach and screening, hotline response, assessments, crisis counseling, interventions, case management, interdisciplinary treatment planning, recordkeeping, consultation, and education. The screener provides care to patients ranging from children age five through geriatric patients.

Requirements

Meet one of the following experience and education pathways, as specified by DMHS: a master's degree and one year of full-time post-master's experience in a mental health setting; a bachelor's degree and three years of full-time post-bachelor's experience in a mental health setting, including one year in a crisis setting; or a bachelor's degree, current enrollment in a master's program or related field, and two years of full-time post-bachelor's mental health experience, including one year in a crisis setting.
For purposes of the stated qualification, a crisis setting is a designated screening center, designated emergency service, or psychiatric inpatient unit.

Nice To Haves

MSW, MS, or MA in Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work.
BS or BA in Clinical Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work.
Licensed in an appropriate discipline.

Responsibilities

Provide mental health screening assessments and make appropriate interventions and referrals.
Provide mobile outreach and screening.
Respond to hotline calls.
Conduct assessments and provide crisis counseling and interventions.
Provide case management.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, recordkeeping, consultation, and education.
Provide care to patients from age five through geriatric.
