Join Sargento Foods as a Personnel Scheduler on the 2nd shift (Monday – Friday, 1:00pm – 10:00pm). Requirements

  • High School or GED required
  • Six months to one-year related experience in manufacturing or an office administrative role

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Production Scheduler and Production Supervisors daily to determine staffing requirements for the next day's production, ensuring all employees have a value-added assignment.
  • Coordinate personnel assignments during production and personnel changes throughout the shift.
  • Reassign personnel based on production demands and personnel needs.
  • Facilitate early departures of employees when production lines go down, following established guidelines.
  • Coordinate shift exchange with oncoming personnel schedulers and plant leadership to communicate staffing changes.
  • Schedule employees for the next day's production by referencing work orders for correct staffing requirements, considering employee seniority, skill, and ability for various line positions.
  • Provide the schedule for the next day's production to specified supervisors and post it daily.
  • Maintain the Skills Matrix to track training needs and ensure employee skills are up-to-date.
  • Utilize the Skills Matrix to ensure employees are not working in the same position/rotation, supporting employee safety and ergonomics.
  • Take calls from employees to inform them of their scheduling status and answer questions and concerns.
  • Ensure accounting accuracy by tracking and adjusting employee clock-ins to the correct cost center for their line assignment or activity, and when transferring to different positions/departments.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Production Leadership, Employee Experience Team, and employees on various issues.
  • Manage strict confidential information with the highest integrity and accuracy.
  • Ensure all procedures are consistently performed according to established policies and procedures.
