About The Position

The Personal Shopper, also described as a Digital Clerk, fulfills customers’ online curbside orders and helps create a convenient, accurate, and friendly pickup experience. The role involves shopping throughout the store, verifying and bagging products, staging orders, and assisting customers at the Meijer Pickup area, including collecting payment. The position requires customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks while following procedures and food safety guidelines.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
At least 1 year of experience.
Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
Able to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
Ability to lift, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience preferred.
Past cashier experience preferred.
Past online ordering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Fulfill online customer orders accurately and efficiently throughout the shift using the workflow dashboard.
Provide friendly service at the curbside pickup area and collect payment as part of the carside experience.
Greet customers courteously in person and by phone, and respond to their questions and needs.
Maintain positive working relationships with customers, store team members, and leadership.
Resolve customer concerns promptly, partnering with leadership when needed.
Select items throughout the store, scan and verify products, and bag items according to standards.
Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
