About The Position

Ando is a multi-lines insurance business that sells its policies through New Zealand's leading insurance brokers. This role is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with excellent relationship and people skills to join the high-performing Personal Lines Team. The position supports the broker channel and is based in Auckland, Christchurch, or Palmerston North. The role involves hybrid working, with two days in the office. The Personal Lines Underwriter will help the business grow and succeed in a challenging and changing environment.

Requirements

2-3 years technical and market-facing expertise within personal lines insurance products
Exceptional communication skills across all mediums
Logical in thought process, inquisitive and have a strong understanding of the New Zealand market and emerging trends
Commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction
Desire to make the complex seem simple

Responsibilities

Being the key point of contact for all underwriting referrals via our Broker portal.
Managing new business and ensuring the renewal of business is being retained by providing a first-class service and technical advice to our broker partners.
Being instrumental in process improvement.
Monitoring and analysing trends across renewals and claims.
