Personal Lines Producer

Davis Insurance Associates, Inc.Myrtle Beach, SC
$60,000 - $80,000Onsite

About The Position

The Personal Lines Sales Agent at Davis Insurance Associates, Inc. is responsible for helping prospective clients find the right personal insurance coverage while growing the agency through new business sales. This position focuses primarily on home, auto, umbrella, flood, and other personal insurance products. The ideal candidate is motivated, personable, organized, comfortable with technology, and able to guide clients through the insurance buying process from initial conversation through binding coverage. This is a sales position, but we believe good insurance sales starts with listening to the client, understanding their needs, explaining coverage clearly, and recommending appropriate options rather than simply trying to sell the lowest-priced policy.

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license is preferred. Candidates with strong sales ability who are willing and able to become licensed may also be considered.
  • Personal lines insurance experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with a strong sales background and the ability to learn insurance quickly.
  • Previous experience quoting and selling homeowners and auto insurance is a plus.
  • Strong sales skills with the confidence to present recommendations, overcome objections, follow up, and ask for the sale.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and comfortable speaking with clients by phone, email, and in person.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to gather and enter information accurately.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple prospects and priorities at the same time.
  • Comfortable working toward sales and production goals.
  • Strong computer and technology skills and the ability to learn agency management systems, comparative raters, carrier websites, CRM software, and other technology.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also taking personal responsibility for individual production.
