About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Settlement Negotiator specializing in Personal Injury claims to join our dynamic claims management team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating fair and efficient resolution of personal injury cases through expert negotiation and comprehensive claims assessment. This position requires a thorough understanding of insurance law, claims processing, and client communication, ensuring that each settlement aligns with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Requirements

Minimum of three years’ experience in property or casualty insurance claims processing or adjusting roles focusing on personal injury cases.
Proven expertise in claims negotiation within the personal injury or liability insurance sector.
Strong familiarity with insurance law, regulatory compliance, and industry standards governing claims handling.
Demonstrated proficiency with estimating software such as Xactimate as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience utilizing financial software for claims adjudication and case management purposes.
Knowledge of fraud prevention techniques specific to personal injury claims.
Excellent analytical skills combined with organizational abilities to manage complex cases efficiently.
Effective client communication skills coupled with a professional demeanor suited for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Evaluate personal injury claims by reviewing medical reports, accident reports, and relevant documentation to determine liability and damages.
Engage in negotiations with claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders to reach equitable settlement agreements efficiently.
Apply property and casualty insurance claims processing procedures while adhering to insurance regulations and regulatory compliance standards.
Utilize estimating software such as Xactimate and other financial software tools to accurately assess damages and prepare settlement proposals.
Conduct thorough analysis to identify potential fraud or inconsistencies within claims, ensuring integrity in the settlement process.
Collaborate with internal teams on claims adjudication, liability assessment, and risk management strategies.
Maintain detailed records of negotiations, correspondence, and claim documentation for audit purposes.
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and explanations regarding claim status and settlement options.
Ensure all claims are processed in accordance with insurance law, regulations, and organizational policies.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements related to claims negotiation and fraud detection.
Review incoming personal injury claims for completeness and validity before initiating negotiations.
Negotiate settlements that balance client satisfaction with organizational risk management objectives.
Prepare detailed reports on claim evaluations, negotiation outcomes, and recommended actions.
Coordinate with property insurance adjusters for related property damage assessments when applicable.
Conduct analysis using Microsoft Office tools to compile data, draft correspondence, and prepare reports.
Monitor ongoing claims to ensure timely resolution while maintaining compliance with legal requirements.
Identify opportunities for fraud prevention through meticulous review of claim details and supporting evidence.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance law, casualty insurance practices, and industry regulations.
Assist in training junior team members on best practices in claims negotiation and fraud detection.
Manage multiple cases simultaneously while prioritizing tasks effectively to meet organizational deadlines.
