About The Position

DeMayo Law is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and organized Personal Injury Paralegal. The role is responsible for communicating with clients, monitoring their medical treatment and status, and moving cases forward in a timely manner. The paralegal serves as the primary contact for clients and plays a key role in supporting the best possible outcomes for them.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience handling plaintiff's personal injury cases as a paralegal.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work and complete job responsibilities.
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and attorneys.
• Strong understanding of insurance coverages.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred; a combination of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
• Paralegal certification or an associate degree in Paralegal Studies strongly preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively communicate with clients about case progress and document all conversations.
• Provide accurate and consistent information to clients about potential issues such as gaps in treatment and over- or under-treatment.
• Manage client cases, including confirming insurance coverage, communicating with adjusters, obtaining medical records and bills, confirming client information, addressing lost wages and health insurance, and making medical referrals as needed.
• Summarize medical records.
• Prepare demand packages for attorney review before submission to insurance companies.
• Manage a high volume of cases, keep cases moving through the process in a timely manner, and provide exceptional client service.
