About The Position

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team and support our attorneys in providing top-notch service to our clients. The Personal Injury Paralegal will play a crucial role in assisting our legal team by managing case files, preparing legal documents, and facilitating communication between clients and attorneys. Your expertise and organizational skills will help ensure a thorough and efficient case process for our clients who are navigating challenging moments in their lives.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm is strongly preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with personal injury claims, medical records, insurance claims, discovery, litigation procedures, and case management.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple cases and assignments simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, attorneys, and other team members.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented legal environment while maintaining a strong commitment to client service.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred; paralegal certification is a plus.
  • Candidates located in or around Seattle, Washington are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and organize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, correspondence, and other case-related materials.
  • Maintain and manage active personal injury case files, ensuring all necessary documentation, records, and correspondence are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist attorneys with the discovery process, including gathering medical records, bills, insurance information, evidence, and other case materials.
  • Serve as a professional and compassionate liaison between clients and attorneys, providing case updates and responding to client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Request, organize, review, and maintain medical records and billing documentation relevant to personal injury claims.
  • Monitor case progress, follow up on outstanding documentation, and assist attorneys with moving cases through the appropriate stages of litigation.
  • Track important deadlines and manage calendars for hearings, depositions, mediations, meetings, and other case-related activities.
  • Assist with preparing exhibits, witness materials, trial binders, and other documents necessary for hearings, mediations, and trial.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries, reports, and other materials as requested by attorneys.
  • Provide administrative and substantive support to attorneys throughout the lifecycle of personal injury cases.
