About The Position

HireNow Staffing is recruiting two plaintiff-side Personal Injury Attorneys for an established law firm. This opportunity combines client advocacy, case development, settlement negotiations, and courtroom representation with additional earning potential through case origination. Candidates must currently reside in New York City and be available to work onsite in NYC five days per week. No relocation candidates will be considered. Plaintiff-side personal injury experience is required; defense-side candidates will not be considered. HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner. Join a practice representing injured individuals and manage cases from initial consultation through settlement or trial. The firm's broader practice includes personal injury, medical malpractice, workers' compensation, and mass tort matters. This role suits an attorney who can build client trust, develop persuasive cases, manage competing deadlines, and advocate effectively during negotiations and litigation.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in New York
  • At least two years of relevant attorney experience, including plaintiff-side personal injury experience
  • Current residence in New York City
  • Availability to work onsite in NYC five days per week
  • Ability to manage cases, communicate with clients, and meet litigation deadlines
  • Ability to work without employer-provided visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Meet with prospective clients to assess potential personal injury claims.
  • Explain legal options and possible courses of action.
  • Establish clear expectations regarding case strategy and next steps.
  • Review accident reports, medical records, witness statements, and other evidence.
  • Investigate claims and develop supporting case materials.
  • Collaborate with medical experts, accident reconstruction specialists, and other professionals.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Pursue favorable settlements while preparing cases for litigation when necessary.
  • Draft complaints, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, and depositions.
  • Present arguments, question witnesses, and advocate for clients.
  • Keep clients informed about case developments and legal strategy.
  • Manage multiple matters while meeting court deadlines and case obligations.
  • Maintain organized, accurate case records.
