About The Position

The Personal Care Specialist provides compassionate, respectful, and reliable care to patients and their families, enhancing patients’ quality of life while maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment. This is a field-based position that involves travel to patient homes and care facilities throughout the Huber Heights service region. This PRN position works 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. at the Dayton Hospice House IPU and may cover the Troy and Middletown Hospice House IPUs as needed. Ohio’s Hospice offers mileage reimbursement, company-provided technology, continuing education, professional development, and a supportive workplace culture. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Proficient computer skills and the ability to accurately document patient care and services in electronic medical records.
Valid Ohio driver’s license, safe driving record, and proof of auto insurance.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and 10-panel drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Certified Nurse Aide (CNA); internal training is available for candidates who are not certified.
Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Aide (CHPNA) certification. Ohio’s Hospice supports professional growth and offers opportunities for eligible employees to obtain certification.
