About The Position

This role is all about being the go-to person who helps our residents feel comfortable, cared for, and supported every single day. You'll be the friendly face who anticipates needs, keeps things running smoothly, and ensures everyone gets their medications safely and on schedule—all while working under the guidance of our licensed nursing team.

Requirements

  • Medication certification: QMAP-A/L, Med Tech, Med Aide, Nurse Delegation (as per state of operation requirements).
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • High school or Equivalent (GED).
  • Proficient computer skills preferred.
  • Strong self-management and organization skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to handle competing deadlines, flexible and adaptable (Open to change).
  • Ability to effectively handle difficult and sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience in some level of elder care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Help residents with their daily needs—bathing, dressing, meals, laundry, and everything in between.
  • Observe and report anything that needs attention, such as hygiene needs, broken glasses, new rashes, or missing hearing aids, to the supervisor immediately.
  • Communicate regularly with the supervisor and teammates to stay informed about resident issues.
  • Ensure residents' safety and well-being, and report any concerns about abuse, neglect, or misuse of resources.
  • Notice and report any shifts in residents' health or status to the supervisor and document their condition as directed.
  • Assist residents with their prescribed daily medications following all state laws and established procedures, ensuring accuracy (right resident, right dose, right time, right medication, right route).
  • Flag any medication concerns with the RN/LPN and document refusals or questions promptly.
  • Restock medication carts and storage areas with supplies like gloves and sanitizer cups.
  • Submit work orders for any replacements or repairs needed during the shift.
  • Attend and actively participate in monthly staff meetings.
  • Handle other duties as assigned with flexibility and a positive attitude.
