About The Position

This role is all about being the go-to person who helps our residents feel comfortable, cared for, and supported every single day. You'll be the friendly face who anticipates needs, keeps things running smoothly, and ensures everyone gets their medications safely and on schedule—all while working under the guidance of our licensed nursing team.

Requirements

  • Medication certification; QMAP-A/L, Med Tech, Med Aide, Nurse Delegation
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  • High school or Equivalent (GED)
  • Proficient computer skills preferred
  • Strong self-management and organization skills
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to handle competing deadlines, flexible and adaptable (Open to change).
  • Ability to effectively handle difficult and sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience in some level of elder care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Help residents with their daily needs—bathing, dressing, meals, laundry, and everything in between.
  • Keep your eyes open for anything that needs attention—whether it's hygiene needs, broken glasses, a new rash, or missing hearing aids—and let your supervisor know right away.
  • Chat regularly with your supervisor and teammates to stay in the loop about resident issues and make sure everyone's on the same page.
  • Watch out for residents' safety and well-being, and always report any concerns about abuse, neglect, or misuse of resources as required.
  • Notice and report any shifts in residents' health or status to your supervisor, and document their condition as directed.
  • Help residents with their prescribed daily medications following all state laws and established procedures. Double-check everything (right resident, right dose, right time, right medication, right route!), flag any concerns with the RN/LPN, and document refusals or questions promptly.
  • Restock medication carts and storage areas with supplies like gloves and sanitizer cups to keep everything organized and ready to go.
  • Submit work orders for any replacements or repairs that pop up during your shift.
  • Attend and actively participate in monthly staff meetings where we tackle resident needs and departmental updates together.
  • Handle other duties as assigned with flexibility and a positive attitude.
