The CorsoCare Personal Care Director is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of administrative, clinical, and resident care services within a senior living community environment. This role actively supports the company culture and directly manages all Wellness Staff to provide compassionate and competent care for residents. The director implements and coordinates all services for residents, performs evaluations and ongoing assessments, and sets measurable goals and outcomes to meet residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial needs. They are responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Personal Care Department, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws. The position involves building resident and family relationships, managing department inventory within budget parameters, planning staff meetings and trainings, and acting as a resident advocate with third-party care providers. Additionally, the director develops care associate assignments, organizes and evaluates staff training, interviews and hires staff, and ensures knowledge of all emergency policies. They lead wellness chats, conduct team member check-ins, facilitate blood pressure clinics, attend department meetings, participate in resident forums, follow up on falls, perform safety assessments, manage service agreements, and provide on-the-floor support as needed.
