About The Position

A Personal Care Assistant provides personalized care and support to people who need help with daily living activities due to disability, illness, or age-related conditions. The role aims to help clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Duties may include assistance with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, errands, and companionship.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, compassion, and empathy.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift or transfer clients if needed.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Standard motor vehicle report and proof of car insurance.
• Physical examination and TB test results.
• PCA or CNA certification, or willingness to take the PCA test with the agency.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene and other daily living activities.
• Prepare meals and provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping and run errands.
• Provide companionship and support clients’ independence and quality of life.
• Lift or transfer clients if needed.
