About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide quality care and support to our clients in Sterling Heights, MI. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities to enhance their independence and quality of life.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively and show empathy toward clients.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet company hiring standards.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in personal care or care-giving preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Help with mobility and transferring clients safely.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry and cleaning.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients’ health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
