About The Position

Advantage PCA & Senior Care, a locally owned and operated home care agency providing in-home support services to adults and seniors, is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule of three days per week, Monday through Friday, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The Personal Care Assistant supports daily living activities while promoting clients’ independence, dignity, personal choice, and quality of life. Individualized training and ongoing support from the office team are provided. Nursing Assistants may maintain active registry status while employed.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, mobility support, transfers, positioning, and meal assistance.
Encourage social engagement, companionship, and emotional well-being.
Assist with household responsibilities, including meal preparation, shopping, laundry, and light housekeeping.
Support clients with behavior management, supervision, redirection, and goal-oriented activities when needed.
Monitor client safety and provide appropriate support throughout daily routines.
Communicate accurately about changes in a client's condition, needs, or behavior.
Protect client privacy and follow company policies and procedures.
Create a supportive, respectful, and person-centered environment that promotes independence and self-determination.
