About The Position
Discovery Therapy is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join their Early Intervention team. This role involves providing one-on-one support to children with developmental and/or learning disabilities in preschools, daycares, or home environments. Services are typically needed for 3-7 hours per day, with the goal of ensuring the child's success in their educational or home setting. Multiple locations in Philadelphia are available. Positions include full-time, part-time, and contract/per-diem options. The contract position is a 1099 Contractor role, Monday-Friday.
Requirements
- High School Diploma REQUIRED
- CPR and First Aid certifications REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting children with behavioral challenges and self-care needs in the 3-5 age group PREFERRED
Responsibilities
- One-on-One (1:1) support for children
- Providing assistance to children who could have behavioral challenges, medical/physical limitations, or a neurological diagnosis
- Implementing instructional strategies
