About The Position
Discovery Therapy, a company that truly cares for its family of therapists, is seeking Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join its Early Intervention team. This role involves providing one-on-one support to children with a variety of developmental and/or learning disabilities within Philadelphia County. Services are for children who need PCA support, typically for 3-7 hours each day, in environments such as preschools, daycares, or homes. The PCA will work directly with the child to ensure their success in these settings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma REQUIRED
- CPR and First Aid certifications REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting children with behavioral challenges and self-care needs in the 3-5 age group
Responsibilities
- One-on-one (1:1) support for children
- Providing assistance to children who could have behavioral challenges, medical/physical limitations, or a neurological diagnosis
- Implementing instructional strategies
