About The Position

Vancrest seeks a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to help provide total resident satisfaction in a rewarding work environment. The role focuses on meeting residents’ personal, medical, and nutritional needs with quality, compassion, and timeliness, while maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant physical environment. The PCA reports residents’ medical needs to the charge nurse and nutritional concerns to the appropriate director. STNA certification is not required; employees who are not certified will take the state test.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Move (sit, stand, bend, and lift) intermittently throughout the workday.
• Lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Read and write in English.
• Pass a background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

• STNA certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide for residents’ personal care needs with an emphasis on quality, compassion, and timeliness.
• Help address residents’ medical needs through quality nursing care and report concerns to the charge nurse.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant physical environment.
• Meet residents’ nutritional needs in accordance with their established care plans and report concerns to the appropriate director.
• Ensure residents’ medication needs are met.
• Assist with the evacuation of residents.
• Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
