Personal Care Assistant - Night Shift
About The Position
Critical Nurse Staffing is hiring a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide private-duty, one-on-one care in a patient’s home. The role serves people who want to remain independent at home, including veterans, workers’ compensation claimants, and eligible former energy workers. The PCA follows the patient’s Plan of Care to provide safe, competent care and support the patient’s well-being and independence. Full-time and part-time opportunities are mentioned; the listed schedule is every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., in 12-hour shifts. The listed pay rate is $16.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
Responsibilities
- Follow the Plan of Care to provide safe, competent care and services to the patient.
- Help the patient maintain good personal hygiene and a healthy, safe environment.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals.
- Assist the patient with ambulation as detailed in the Patient Care Plan.
- Encourage the patient’s independence without exceeding the capabilities outlined in the Patient Care Plan.
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
