About The Position

CareOne Senior Care is hiring dependable and compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home care to seniors and adults in Southfield, Michigan, and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients maintain their comfort, safety, and independence while remaining in their own homes. No previous caregiving experience is required. We welcome individuals who are interested in helping others and are willing to learn. Training, guidance, and ongoing support are provided.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old
• Be dependable, compassionate, and respectful
• Have reliable transportation to assigned client locations
• Have a valid driver's license
• Maintain current vehicle registration and auto insurance
• Be able to work independently in a client's home
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and the office
• Successfully complete the required criminal background screening
• Have a current TB test or be willing to obtain one before employment begins

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home care, personal care, CNA work, direct care, or caregiving is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Preparing meals and encouraging proper hydration
• Providing companionship, conversation, and social interaction
• Performing light housekeeping, laundry, and basic household tasks
• Assisting with walking, mobility, and transfers as appropriate
• Providing medication reminders according to the client's care plan
• Accompanying clients to appointments, errands, and other activities when needed
• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition to the office
• Completing required shift documentation
• Following care plans, safety procedures, and company policies

Benefits

• $15.00–$17.00 per hour for standard caregiver assignments
• Specialty and couples assignments paying up to $22.50 per hour
