About The Position

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in the Dothan area to provide personalized, home-based support to seniors who need help with daily activities. The role focuses on helping clients live safely at home while offering companionship and assistance tailored to their needs. Aides work with a 1:1 aide-to-client ratio and can set their own schedule. The position involves assisting with activities of daily living and household tasks, supporting mobility and exercise, providing medication reminders, documenting client condition, and notifying a supervisor of concerns. Aides also help maintain a safe home environment and engage clients in enjoyable activities. The listed pay is $14.90 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Active Home Care Aide (HCA) experience.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
Compassionate and helpful nature.
Good communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.
CPR certification is optional.
COVID-19 vaccination card is optional.

Responsibilities

Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
Provide medication reminders, document clients’ condition, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
Ensure a safe home environment by keeping pathways unobstructed.
Participate in activities clients enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
