About The Position

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver to support seniors in living safely and happily at home. The role provides one-to-one, personalized home-based assistance, including personal care, help with daily activities, companionship, and support with mobility. Aides also monitor and document clients’ conditions, report concerns to a supervisor, and help maintain a safe home environment. The position offers $14.90 per hour and a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Home Care Aide (HCA) experience.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
• Compassionate and helpful nature.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.
• CPR certification is optional.
• COVID-19 vaccination card is optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support that helps seniors live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
• Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
• Maintain a safe home environment by ensuring pathways are unobstructed.
• Participate in activities clients enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
