About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring a Personal Care Aide to provide compassionate in-home personal care to clients in their homes. The role involves supporting clients with daily living activities, offering companionship, and helping maintain a safe and comfortable home environment. The posting identifies this opening as a day-shift weekend position and lists full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules. PCA training is offered to interested applicants who are not certified.
Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for those interested in PCA.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card and two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as moving from a bed to a wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior.
