Personal Care Aide - Shackleford
About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Nursing Assistants (NA), and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide compassionate in-home personal care to clients. The role supports clients with daily activities and companionship in the comfort of their homes. The posting identifies a day-shift weekend position and also describes full-time, part-time, and PRN scheduling options, with flexible schedules that may include weekdays, weekends, and overnights. PCA training is offered for interested candidates who are not certified. The company provides ongoing training and personal protective equipment (PPE). Weekly pay is offered, with pay of up to 40 hours per week; full-time PCAs are eligible for benefits. Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for those interested in PCA work.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card.
- Two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as transfers from bed to wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior.
