About The Position

UCP Heartland is seeking compassionate and committed PERSONAL ASSISTANTS (Direct Care Providers) for FULL-TIME shifts. UCP Heartland offers a positive, team-driven, work environment at $21.00/Hour. This is a set 12-hour weekly schedule, working Fridays and Saturdays from 4 PM to 10 PM. As a PERSONAL ASSISTANT/DSP (Direct Care Provider), you will perform various responsibilities to support individuals living with disabilities. Requirements

High School diploma or its equivalent (GED).
Valid Driver's license
Clean Driving Record and successfully completes and maintains assigned drivers training
A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEKEND SHIFT PER WEEKEND
Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or in a customer service field
Ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
Ability to consistently work in a professional, cooperative manner with all Agency clients and personnel.
Good written and oral communication skills
Computer Proficiency
Reliable transportation
5-7 days of mandatory training at our corporate office Monday through Friday 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM

Responsibilities

Provide physical assistance with daily tasks, assist with personal hygiene and facilitate fun activities.
Follow medical orders and administer medications.
Assist with ADL's, Lift and Transfer (includes ceiling lifts, repositioning in wheelchair, etc), Adaptive Transportation.
Shift documentation using Set-Works and general housekeeping.
Interact with family often.
Provide choices to the clients for their daily activities to provide entertainment and community outings.
