About The Position

This position will be based out of our San Luis Obispo, CA location. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail oriented individual to join our team in a part time capacity. This role is essential to our operations team, supporting solar installations through timely and accurate permitting processes.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
2+ years of experience in a permitting or administrative support role (solar or construction industry a plus)
Proficiency in Google Workspace
Strong communication, proactiveness, and organizational skills
Ability to research questions and find answers independently and with urgency
Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Comfortable working in a fast paced, team oriented environment

Responsibilities

Prepare and submit permit applications to local AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction)
Track permit progress and proactively follow up with jurisdictions to ensure timely approvals
Maintain an organized digital and physical filing system of all permits and inspection documents
Communicate with customers, project managers, and utility companies regarding inspection scheduling and requirements
Coordinate with engineers and design teams to ensure permit packages are complete and code compliant
Maintain a thorough understanding of local codes and jurisdiction specific requirements
Other permitting and interconnection tasks as required
