About The Position

At Olive Branch Home Loans, we're building something special in the Permian Basin and we're looking for a leader who wants to help shape it. The Permian Mortgage Manager is responsible for building and leading our Midland-Odessa mortgage team while driving growth, production, and customer experience throughout the region. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands mortgage origination, enjoys developing people, and thrives in fast-paced environments where opportunity and ownership go hand-in-hand. You'll recruit and coach loan consultants, strengthen relationships with builder and title partners, originate loans, and help create a culture where both customers and team members thrive. This role is part builder, part coach, and part originator. You'll have the opportunity to shape the Permian Basin mortgage team from the ground up—finding the right people, developing loan consultants, creating momentum in the market, and building strong alignment with our builder partner and title team. This is not a role for someone who wants to stay above the day-to-day. It's for someone who can jump in, solve problems, clear bottlenecks, and keep the team moving when the work is hard.

Requirements

3+ years of mortgage origination experience
Active MLO licensure, or ability to maintain licensure as required
Strong understanding of mortgage operations, borrower experience, and compliance expectations
Ability to lead, coach, and hold others accountable

Responsibilities

Build and lead the Permian Basin mortgage team, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing loan consultants.
Coach team members in production, file quality, borrower experience, urgency, and culture fit.
Set and execute the branch growth strategy across Midland and Odessa.
Build authentic relationships with builder partners, referral sources, and the title team.
Drive branch pipeline health and pull-through while protecting the 30-day closing standard.
Originate loans as needed to support team health, production, and customer experience.
Identify and clear bottlenecks early so files continue moving forward.
Uphold fair lending, GLBA, RESPA, and SAFE Act compliance across the team.
Partner with leadership on staffing, compensation, market growth, and team performance.
Report on pipeline, production, and team health while setting the daily pace for the branch.
