About The Position

This role focuses on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within target markets, developing and maintaining key relationships, and driving revenue growth. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for researching market trends, generating leads, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver customer solutions. The position requires meeting revenue and margin targets and representing the company at industry events. Compliance with company and HSE policies is also essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, or a similar commercial role.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, customer relationship management, and market development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and business reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ESP/Artificial Lift
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles or strategic accounts.
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation and commercial terms.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Research market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
  • Generate leads through networking, cold outreach, referrals, events, and industry contacts.
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, and commercial offers for potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers and partners.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, operations, and product teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline status, and forecasts.
  • Meet or exceed revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Represent the company at meetings, trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on business development progress.
  • Support account planning and customer retention strategies.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
