About The Position
West Hartford Elementary School is seeking a Permanent Building Substitute for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in obtaining a teaching certification or supporting the local district. The position offers direct experience working in the classroom as a teacher or paraprofessional and will primarily support East Farms Elementary School (K-4), with occasional support needed at other elementary schools. The daily pay rate is $144, and the position is eligible for health insurance and paid sick time per CTPSL. The position may terminate at the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with school age students
- Must be fingerprinted within 30 days of hire.
- Submit 3 letters of reference and copies of college transcripts with application.
Nice To Haves
- Candidates with State of CT Teacher Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support East Farms Elementary School (K-4) as a teacher or paraprofessional.
- Provide occasional support to other Elementary Schools when needed.
- Fulfill daily assignments every day that school is in session.
- Be available for daily assignments based on home-school.
