About The Position

Assists anesthesia team by creating all IVs and IV setups. Sets up offsite anesthesia cases by transporting gas machines and Pyxis back stands. This is a team-structured work environment with high amounts of collaboration required. Responds effectively and efficiently to life-threatening situations. Performs a variety of technical and supportive tasks to assist daily clinical operations. Performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment.
• Self-starter who requires little or no supervision.
• Ability to respond appropriately to life threatening situations.
• Effective multitasking, interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment.
• Working knowledge of supply chain or materials management.
• Working knowledge of surgical and anesthesia procedures.

Nice To Haves

• BLS Certification, preferred.
• Previous health care experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating rooms for surgery by assisting with equipment and supply needs, setup, and routine maintenance.
• Assists OR team with room turnover, patient beds, and transportation of case carts.
• Maintains inventory of relevant surgical supplies and equipment.
• Transports patients, labs, gross specimens, and blood, as necessary.
• Creates all IVs and IV setups.
• Sets up offsite anesthesia cases by transporting gas machines and Pyxis back stands.
• Responds effectively and efficiently to life-threatening situations.
