About The Position

Participates as a member of the perioperative team by performing various direct and indirect tasks. Supports operating-room operations through room preparation and turnover, supply and equipment delivery, specimen transport, professional telephone communication, and other delegated or related duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in room preparation and turnover and other support activities as delegated by the perioperative registered nurse and healthcare team members.
• Acquire, stock, and deliver supplies, laundry, and equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Use supplies judiciously and cost-effectively.
• Transport cultures and specimens to the appropriate department.
• Answer telephones and communicate professionally and effectively.
• Perform related duties to facilitate proper and efficient use of the operating room.
• Perform other related duties as required.
