This role involves exposure to Pre-Operative, PACU, and CPE patients, providing education regarding their plan of care to patients and their loved ones during a vulnerable time. We see a diverse adult patient population.
Requirements
- BSN required
- Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required
- BLS and ACLS required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients
- Ability to demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities
- Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards
Nice To Haves
- PACU experience strongly preferred
- Preoperative holding and evaluation experience preferred
- ASPAN membership and CPAN/CAPA certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide education regarding their plan of care to patients and their loved ones during a vulnerable time.
- Care for a diverse adult patient population.
- Float to different perioperative areas as needed.
