This role provides exposure to Pre-Operative, PACU, and CPE patients, allowing nurses to be there for patients and their loved ones at a vulnerable time by providing appropriate education regarding their plan of care. The position involves caring for a diverse adult patient population.
Requirements
- BSN required
- Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required
- BLS and ACLS required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients
- Ability to demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities
Nice To Haves
- PACU experience strongly preferred
- Preoperative holding and evaluation experience preferred
- ASPAN membership and CPAN/CAPA certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide education regarding their plan of care to patients and their loved ones at a vulnerable time.
- Care for a diverse adult patient population.
