About The Position

The Perioperative Data Entry Clerk is accountable for the processing of surgical booking requests for various areas in the hospital, such as the Operating Room, the Birthing Unit, Ambulatory Day Care unit, MAB Endoscopy Suite and the Eye Institute.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed grade 12 at minimum
  • Medical terminology certificate
  • Minimum six (6) months scheduling experience with Meditech
  • Entry level in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with high accuracy and speed
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem assessment skills

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years clerical duties in healthcare environment preferred
  • Data entry experience an asset
