About The Position

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, patient-centred Periodontist to join Dundurn Dental Specialty, our new specialty and advanced therapy clinic in Hamilton, Ontario, and a proud part of Passion Dental Group. This role will support advanced periodontal and implant services within a collaborative, specialist-led environment. As a newly launched specialty clinic, most roles will begin on a part-time basis during regular business hours. As patient demand and services expand, there is strong opportunity for additional shifts and potential transition to full-time. We’re looking for specialists who are excited to grow alongside the clinic and become a long-term, trusted presence within both our team and the broader community. This is a commission-based independent contractor opportunity. Engagement and compensation are governed by an executed independent contractor agreement. This is not an employee role. Dundurn Dental Specialty is a purpose-built, multidisciplinary centre offering centralized diagnostics, advanced surgical suites, and a strong referral network. The clinic is designed to support complex periodontal and implant-based care.

Requirements

• Specialist certification in Periodontics
• Registration and good standing with the RCDSO
• Strong surgical and diagnostic skills
• Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and long-term patient care
• Excellent communication and case presentation abilities

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat periodontal disease using surgical and non-surgical approaches
• Perform periodontal surgeries, regenerative procedures, and implant placements
• Collaborate with restorative dentists, orthodontists, and oral surgeons on interdisciplinary cases
• Educate patients on periodontal health, disease prevention, and long-term maintenance
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation and treatment plans
• Support referring providers with clear communication and follow-up
