About The Position

Under minimal supervision, provides care, maintenance, assembly, and operation of electronic physiological pressure monitoring equipment in the operating room, intra-aortic balloon pumping systems, autologous blood salvaging systems, and other related systems. Provides laboratory tests in the operating room for open-heart patients. Maintains and cleans equipment for perfusion services and performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Completion of an Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) certification program and/or at least one year of previous IABP experience.
• Analytical ability to set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain various equipment.
• Manual dexterity to work with finely detailed circuitry components and systems.
• Visual, hearing, and verbal abilities to operate equipment and assist during surgical procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.
