About The Position

Zinus, Inc. is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Performance Marketing Specialist to join our U.S. Growth Marketing team. This role will serve as a key subject matter expert for Retail Media Network (RMN) advertising, with primary responsibility for Walmart Connect and Wayfair Advertising campaign management. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on platform expertise with business acumen, translating marketplace performance data into actionable recommendations that drive profitable growth. This is not a role for someone who simply manages campaigns. We are looking for a marketer who can independently identify opportunities, diagnose performance challenges, evaluate tradeoffs, and proactively recommend solutions. Success in this role requires strong ownership, sound business judgment, and the ability to translate data into measurable business outcomes while responsibly managing advertising investment. You will work closely with Growth Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, Content, and Supply Chain teams to ensure media investments support broader business objectives.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience managing Walmart Connect advertising campaigns in a professional or internship setting.
  • Proven experience managing meaningful retail media budgets and performance goals
  • Deep understanding of Walmart marketplace and Walmart Connect advertising products
  • Experience managing advertising for large product catalogs (100+ active SKUs preferred).
  • Experience balancing advertising performance with responsible stewardship of marketing investment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify drivers behind performance trends
  • Advanced Excel proficiency including pivots, lookups, filtering, and data analysis
  • Experience translating data into recommendations for business stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who can operate with limited oversight and strong ownership
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose performance issues across media, pricing, promotions, inventory, content, assortment, and competitive dynamics rather than relying solely on campaign-level metrics
  • Must be authorized to work within The US.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing Wayfair advertising campaigns
  • Experience with Skai or similar retail media management platforms
  • Experience in mattresses, furniture, home furnishings, or other large-item ecommerce categories
  • Familiarity with Amazon Advertising or additional retail media networks
  • Experience working directly with Walmart merchants, category teams, or supplier organizations
  • Understanding of Walmart's merchandising, promotional, and marketplace ecosystem
  • Experience partnering with sales, merchandising, and ecommerce teams to drive business outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day management and optimization of Walmart Connect advertising programs
  • Support strategy and execution of Wayfair advertising campaigns and marketplace growth initiatives
  • Develop campaign structures aligned to business priorities, category strategies, product lifecycle stages, and promotional events
  • Manage advertising investment across campaigns by balancing business priorities, performance objectives, and responsible budget stewardship.
  • Monitor performance daily and proactively identify risks, trends, and growth opportunities
  • Analyze performance across SKU, category, and portfolio levels
  • Translate campaign results into actionable business recommendations
  • Identify root causes behind performance changes, including media, content, pricing, promotions, inventory, and competitive factors
  • Build and maintain reporting frameworks that connect media performance to broader business outcomes
  • Partner with Sales, Merchandising, Content, and Supply Planning teams to ensure advertising strategies align with business priorities
  • Design and execute testing plans across bidding, targeting, creative, assortment, and budget strategies
  • Stay current on Walmart Connect, Wayfair Advertising, and broader retail media developments
  • Drive process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability
  • Present clear recommendations to leadership by connecting advertising performance to broader business priorities and operational realities.
