SierraSan Francisco, CA
$170,000 - $200,000Onsite

About The Position

At Sierra, we’re creating a platform to help businesses build better, more human customer experiences with AI. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices in Atlanta, New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney. We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and Family. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do. Our co-founders are Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of B2B performance marketing experience with deep, hands-on ownership of paid search and paid social, including expert-level proficiency across Google Ads, Microsoft/Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Meta/Facebook Ads.
  • Proven success owning pipeline and budget performance, managing multi-million-dollar quarterly ad budgets, maximizing ROAS, partnering closely with Sales in a sales-led motion, and using attribution, forecasting, and marketing operations to connect spend to pipeline and revenue.
  • Strong strategic and executional capabilities, with the ability to develop account and persona targeting, messaging, and competitive positioning while also executing campaign structure, platform optimization, bid strategy, budget allocation, copy, and creative.
  • A data-driven operator with a bias for experimentation, who treats every campaign as a learning opportunity, translates complex data into actionable insights, and continuously optimizes performance based on results.
  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, embraces ambiguity, is excited by AI and its applications to marketing, and is motivated by building scalable programs and processes from the ground up.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with modern GTM tooling, including Clay and data enrichment platforms, along with experience executing ABM strategies for high-ACV, named-account sales motions.
  • Experience marketing technical or AI products to sophisticated B2B buyers, with a strong point of view on measurement and attribution in a privacy-first, post-cookie world.
  • A relentless experimentation mindset, with a constant backlog of ideas to test and optimize, always looking for new ways to improve targeting, performance, and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale Sierra's performance marketing function by defining and executing the strategy that turns paid spend into pipeline.
  • Own paid search and paid social end-to-end, including channel strategy, campaign execution, and the systems needed to scale.
  • Own pipeline and budget performance, managing a quarterly pipeline target and multi-million-dollar advertising budget.
  • Make data-driven investment decisions and use forecasting, attribution, and reporting to optimize efficiency and demonstrate ROI.
  • Lead strategy through execution, defining account and persona targeting, messaging, and competitive positioning while also building campaigns, optimizing bids, allocating budget, and developing high-performing ad copy and creative.
  • Drive a culture of rapid experimentation by continuously testing audiences, messaging, creative, channels, and campaign strategies.
  • Quickly identify what works, double down on successful initiatives, and iterate away from underperforming tactics.
  • Leverage AI to multiply impact, automating meaningful aspects of the marketing workflow to increase speed, scale experimentation, and expand the team's reach beyond what a traditional performance marketing function could achieve.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Marketing/Revenue Ops, and Customer & Product Marketing to align on target accounts, messaging, campaigns, data, attribution, and pipeline performance, while reporting into marketing leadership with the autonomy to set strategy and the visibility to drive measurable business impact.
