This position assists in facilitating the coordination of a systematic organization-wide Performance Improvement program. The analyst will participate in six sigma quality projects and quality control functions for STHS. Responsibilities include performing concurrent reviews for data collection of CMS required core measure indicators, analyzing data to create action plans with stakeholders, and generating monthly reports to identify successes and areas for improvement. The role also involves direct contact with nursing staff and physicians regarding areas for improvement, assisting with meeting preparations, and conducting various reviews such as mortality, quality data, and 'never event' reviews. The analyst must be knowledgeable about quality results and able to explain them to committee members, compose business letters to physicians, and promote Quality Improvement activities throughout the system by facilitating and coaching continuous improvement. A key aspect of the role is fostering the PI process of focus/assess the need, plan/do, measure the success, and evaluate the outcome, while understanding the UHS Scorecard and its linkages to quality studies and measurement.
