The Performance Fitter conducts product fitting events, supports a positive customer experience from setup through event close, and builds enthusiasm for Callaway products. The fitter may work alongside an Outside Sales Representative (OSR) or independently as directed by the OSR, educating consumers about Callaway Golf and Odyssey products at customer-sponsored events. This is a part-time, seasonal position with a varied schedule in the Kentucky/Southern Indiana territory. Availability for scheduled weekdays and weekends during the golf season is required; typical events last 5–6 hours on a Saturday or Sunday.

The role involves frequent travel within the territory and occasional travel to surrounding territories, events, and trade shows. Work is primarily outdoors. The fitter may be asked to drive a company vehicle or tow a company trailer. Pay is listed as $16.50 per hour, with an additional posted hourly range of $16.50–$20.00.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to learn product characteristics and distinguish company product features, benefits, and fitting concepts.
• Able to present technical ideas and facts to diverse audiences in a manner consistent with Callaway standards.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence situations and people positively.
• Demonstrated leadership and professionalism.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and proper insurance for the resident state.
• Driver’s record must meet the company’s authorized driver criteria.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, typically product and equipment.
• Availability to work scheduled weekdays, including weekends during the golf season.
• Frequent travel within the territory and occasional travel to surrounding territories are required; occasional travel outside the territory to events and trade shows may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Golf knowledge, golf club fitting knowledge, and experience using a launch monitor.
• Understanding of the retail golf business, including green-grass or off-course retail.
• Knowledge of past Callaway products.
• Geographic knowledge of the territory.
• One year of successful retail or golf shop selling experience.
• Golf club fitting experience.
• A vehicle large enough to carry 15–20 golf bags and display tents; an SUV or minivan is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support customer event goals and deliver an outstanding consumer experience.
• Set up and take down displays and equipment, following Callaway’s Product Fitting protocol and event setup standards.
• Ensure fitting carts, tents, wind blades, and table skirts are present, presentable, and up to date at each event.
• Inventory and update the Fit Cart.
• Communicate the advantages of the full line of Callaway Golf products to consumers.
• Conduct customer fittings using Callaway’s fitting protocol, a launch monitor, and other provided tools.
• Run and train on the Odyssey Fits Tool and apply selling techniques.
• Provide consumers with personalized product specifications.
• Communicate accomplishments and challenges to the OSR and share and solicit lessons learned from each event.
