The Attorney General is the chief legal officer of the State of Maryland. The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) has the general charge, supervision, and direction of the State’s legal business, acting as legal advisors and representatives of the major agencies, various boards, commissions, officials, and institutions of State Government. The OAG also protects the public by civil enforcement of antitrust, civil rights, consumer protection, and securities laws and regulations and by the prosecution of organized crime, Medicaid fraud, environmental crimes, insurance fraud, state tax evasion, and other statutorily assigned matters. GRADE 17 This position offers a salary range of $71,805 – $102,566, with potential for advancement up to $113,243 based on qualifications, equity, and hiring guidelines. Initial salary offers are determined by qualifications, experience, and available budget, and typically do not exceed $102,566. PID is a dynamic, forward-thinking division dedicated to enhancing the Office of the Attorney General’s effectiveness through strategic innovation, data driven decision making, and special project support. We partner directly with leadership and teams across the office to strengthen operations, advance performance management, and support high impact initiatives that improve public service delivery. Our mission is to provide data driven insights that enhance decision making, foster innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency, and uphold the priorities of the Attorney General’s Office in service to the people of Maryland. This position provides non supervisory analytical support across PID’s performance management and data services portfolio. The Performance & Data Analyst will work with divisions and units throughout OAG to support data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting efforts, and will contribute to operational and special projects initiated by executive leadership. The analyst will collaborate closely with the Director and Deputy Director of Performance and Innovation, as well as leaders across the office. Because performance management and data needs continue to evolve within a complex legal organization, specific responsibilities and focus areas for this role may shift over time to align with emerging priorities, organizational needs, and the employee’s demonstrated skills and strengths. The analyst’s work is essential to advancing OAG’s commitment to innovation, accountability, and transparency for both Maryland residents and OAG employees
