About The Position

Support Xcel Energy and business unit goals by applying analytics, AI, automation, and data solutions to improve operational performance and business outcomes. The Performance Analyst partners with business stakeholders to understand information needs, identify innovation and process-improvement opportunities, and turn data into actionable insights. The role designs, develops, implements, and sustains reporting, dashboards, automated processes, and data integrations to improve decision-making, efficiency, and customer outcomes. It also serves as an analytical and technical resource, building stakeholder relationships and supporting continuous improvement across the organization.

Xcel Energy supports a hybrid work model. Many roles are expected to work onsite three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday, though expectations vary by role, team, and business needs. The position may require occasional travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or Business Administration, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• Three years of experience, including at least one year in one or more of the following areas: customer service, marketing, automated metering, communications, revenue protection, distribution operations, engineering, or information systems.
• Strong customer focus.
• Proven leadership and ability to take an initiative from conception and startup through full implementation.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and technical and analytical acumen.
• Experience with PC applications and analytical software.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Use AI tools, automation technologies, and emerging analytical capabilities to improve productivity, generate insights, enhance reporting, and identify opportunities for business value.
• Evaluate and implement AI-enabled solutions that support operational efficiency, decision-making, and continuous improvement.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance reporting, dashboards, data integrations, and automated business solutions.
• Partner with leaders and stakeholders to identify requirements, develop recommendations, and deliver solutions aligned with operational and strategic goals.
• Develop, maintain, and improve reporting and analytics solutions using enterprise data sources.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reports, dashboards, and business processes.
• Design and sustain automated workflows, data pipelines, and business processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support scalable operations.
• Collaborate with business partners, technology teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, define requirements, prioritize enhancements, and implement data-driven solutions.
• Monitor and resolve data quality, system, and reporting issues to minimize business impact and ensure reliable, timely information delivery.
• Support and lead cross-functional initiatives focused on operational performance, process improvement, customer experience, and business transformation.
• Use analytical techniques to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead or contribute to projects that improve business processes, reporting capabilities, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and information systems.
• Provide guidance, knowledge sharing, documentation, training, and mentorship as a technical and analytical resource.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
