About The Position

Small Door is a membership-based veterinary care service that offers a reimagined veterinary experience with exceptional care, 24/7 telemedicine, and transparent pricing. Founded in 2019, Small Door has expanded across the East Coast and plans further expansion in 2026. The organization emphasizes a supportive and collaborative network for its doctors, offering high standards of medicine, extended appointment times (30-60 minutes), dedicated administrative time, a favorable doctor-to-support team ratio, and skilled veterinary nurses. Small Door is committed to being a sustainable workplace, is Fear Free certified, and AAHA accredited. The Per-Diem or Relief Veterinarian will support the team by providing regular coverage.

Requirements

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from a leading university
• 3+ years work experience in the field
• Completion of a post-grad internship training program
• Professional approach and appearance
• Excellent interpersonal and speaking skills
• A positive, can-do attitude
• Availability to work weekends (Saturday or Sunday)
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the code of ethics
• Thrives in team-oriented environments
• Has a ‘glass half full’ attitude and a sense of humor!
