Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills to promote the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards This position will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to RTC patients through education, nursing assessment, and administration of medication The RTC Registered Nurse assesses physiological and psychosocial needs, implements nursing interventions, and communicates patient concerns to the healthcare team You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing
  • 3+ years RN experience OR 1+ years in ICU and/or Emergency Department
  • Valid and current Texas RN license
  • BLS through American Heart Association
  • ACLS within three months of employment
  • Completion annually of 10 CEU’s related to Emergency Care
  • Ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population and for CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy
  • Proven basic computer skills
  • Experience with EMRs

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree in Nursing
  • ACLS
  • CCRN
  • ICU experience or 5+ years of experience in Emergency Department
  • EPIC experience
  • IV access experience
  • Port access experience

Responsibilities

  • Applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills to promote the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to RTC patients through education, nursing assessment, and administration of medication
