Per Diem Behavior Technician - Evaluation & Treatment Center
About The Position
Under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), this Per Diem Behavior Technician position is responsible for modeling and carrying out behavior support plans (BSPs), which could include teaching various skill building or behavior reduction techniques with children and young adults. The role also involves assisting with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), collecting data, and providing training to caregivers to ensure follow-through at home. The position aims to empower children, support families, and make a difference by helping children thrive and working closely with families.
Requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Natural ability to connect with children and parents
- Good time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- At least 3 years’ experience working with children and families preferred
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide a positive and nurturing environment for children and their families
- Assist LBA with the development of FBAs
- Assist LBA with the creation of BSPs
- Teach specific skills required for skill acquisition and/or behavior reduction as outlined in the child’s BSP
- Participate in consultation and meeting sessions
- Answer questions from children and their families
- Observe child behaviors to collect data
- Inform parents and other caregivers about behavioral intervention findings
- Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
