Pep Band - Student Worker Social Media (FWS/NFWS)
About The Position
The Pep Band Student Worker supports the growth, efforts, and goals of the GCU Pep Band’s social media and online presence. The role involves photographing and recording the band at events in coordination with the Director, maintaining social media accounts in alignment with GCU’s mission, and completing additional duties as assigned. Applicants must be enrolled at GCU as full-time students in a Bachelor’s program, retain a 2.0 GPA, and maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University. Applicants may be subject to termination if they fall below these minimum requirements. The role pays minimum wage and has an anticipated end date of May 31, 2027.
Requirements
- Exceptional ability to organize information and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding ability to manage time and handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Must have a personal SLR camera.
- Must be enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program.
- Must retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor-level student.
- Must maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
Nice To Haves
- Submit a portfolio of work upon request.
- Photo-editing software of the applicant’s choice.
- Familiarity with social media apps such as Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and Facebook.
Responsibilities
- Be proficient in photo-editing software.
- Photograph and record the band at events while coordinating with the Director.
- Maintain social media accounts and adhere to the Mission of GCU.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
