About The Position

Join Apex Systems as a PeopleSoft FIN Accounts Payable Functional Analyst supporting a state government client in Richmond, VA. This contract position offers a balanced on-site (Tue/Wed/Thu) and remote (Mon/Fri) work schedule, ideal for individuals who value flexibility and professional growth. Requirements

• Extensive functional experience with PeopleSoft Financials, with a core focus on Accounts Payable
• Proven track record delivering end-user support and resolving functional issues
• Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams
• Hands-on expertise in PeopleSoft Accounts Payable configuration

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PeopleSoft Expenses module and PUM upgrades
• Implementation experience with Fixed Assets and Lease Administration modules
• Background in public sector or government environments

Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional SME for PeopleSoft Financials, specializing in Accounts Payable processes and best practices
• Deliver prompt production support by resolving user-reported issues and troubleshooting system problems
• Engage directly with business users to gather requirements, clarify needs, and resolve functional issues with high-quality communication
• Escalate technical issues to development teams as necessary for advanced troubleshooting
• Support project initiatives, including implementing and integrating Fixed Assets and Lease Administration modules with Accounts Payable
• Participate in PUM upgrades, contributing expertise to ensure seamless transitions (preferred)
• Collaborate with training teams to update materials and provide subject matter support
• Provide occasional on-call support to ensure operational reliability
